Instructions for use:
The Ranger by Zeus Anti-Bark collar should only be worn a maximum of 12 hours at a time. For best results, use the collar in situations when you do not want the dog to bark at all and remove it when barking would be appropriate or wanted. The dog’s reaction to the collar may vary depending on the consistency of use, temperament of the dog and breed.
Depending on the setting you choose, every time the dog barks the sound mode emits a high frequency sound or the vibration mode releases a vibration reminding the dog not to bark. Low and high settings allow you to adjust the level accordingly.
When you see the dog is reacting positively to the collar (reduction in barking, good behavior etc.) offer positive reinforcement and praise him/her with a reward. This will encourage the good behavior and reduce the barking and negative behavior over time.
How to fit the collar:
Important: the proper fit and placement of the collar is important for effective training.
To ensure a proper fit, please follow the following steps:
- The Collar should fit snugly, yet loose enough to allow two fingers to fit between the strap and your pet’s neck
- Allow your pet to wear the collar for several minutes then verify the fit again to ensure it’s adjusted appropriately
- The plastic unit should be placed directly under the chin
- Remove all other collars and tags
- Choose the setting you wish (Sound or Vibration)
- Adjust the level of sensitivity. It is recommended to start at the lowest sensitivity and adjust as needed.
