Why did we reduce the number of bacterial strains?

After two years of research, we have discovered that by reducing the number of strains to five (5), the nitrifying power of Cycle increases in an exponential way. With some accessory bacterial strains removed from the formula, "room" is made, allowing bacteria responsible of the oxidation of ammonia and nitrites to be more stable, and to activate more rapidly. Of course, some species of heterotrophic bacteria (Bacillus sp.) stay in the product to keep the essential balance between autotrophic and heterotrophic bacteria.

Cycle contains thousands of tiny particles in suspension. Is this normal?

Yes, these little flocs are the visual proof of the incredible increase of the nitrifying bacterial bio mass. The concentration of these beneficial bacteria is so high that it is now possible to see them without magnification. A single one of these little flocs observed with the microscope reveals millions of cyst-shaped bacteria, which need only to be added to an aquarium to become active again.
Why the number of 500 billions per dose is not shown anymore on the label?

Because of its new formula configuration, it is now extremely difficult to count the total bacterial cells in Cycle. Each little floc is packed with bacteria sealed together in a bio film and it is very difficult to separate them correctly, and thus achieve an accurate total cell count. However, the concentration of nitrifying bacteria is significantly increased in comparison with the previous version of Cycle.
Why refrigeration after opening is not required anymore?

Because the cyst-shaped bacteria found in the micro flocs rapidly sink to the bottom of the container and are thus protected from oxygen which enters the bottle. The stabilised environment prevents any activity, even at room temperature. Another added benefit to the consumer, the opened bottle of Cycle can now be stored in a normal room environment without any threat to the product integrity.
How powerful is Cycle?

Cycle is the most active product on the market. Laboratory tests show its capacity to oxidize more than 10 mg/L of ammonia per day (Measured as N).
New Cycle starts is fully activated after 48 hours instead 144 hours in the original formulation. 100 mg/L of Ammonia (NH3-N) is consumed in 10 days.
