Bio-Life can be installed on any aquarium at least 12" x 12" surface. It is compact enough to fit on the end of any 12" (30cm) wide aquarium, or the more standard placement on the back wall of an aquarium. Bio-Life is designed to fit beneath a normal aquarium canopy without requiring canopy cut-outs. The Flow Deflector permits pinpoint accuracy in flow direction. |

Classic filter placement has always been on the back wall of the aquarium. Water flow will be forced down and toward the front of the aquarium. This creates a rolling current from top to bottom that can help to keep particles suspended longer in the water. Depending on how the deflector is positioned, lateral movement in the aquarium will move either left or right. Unlike common outside filters, installation of the Bio-Life on the back wall of an aquarium does not require the tank to be placed away from a wall. The power cords are the only parts which are locate outside the aquarium. |
