Trio Internal Power Filter Manual

The Trio Filtration system brings the classic power and water flow capabilities of the external power filter inside the aquarium. With the triple insert filtration system, the aquarist is offered a powerful tool in the battle to keep the aquarium clean and healthy. In addition, since there are three distinct inserts, proper filter maintenance will assure ongoing biological filtration, even right after media maintenance.

The TRIO offers superb filtration characteristics in any aquarium. The suction into the system is gentle, making it safe for almost every size fish. The Trio is ideal for applications where other filters cannot be used. The Trio provides strong mechanical waste removal with its first stage. Biological filtration is accomplished in the second stage, using specially treated ceramic nodes to offer the maximum number of colonization sites for beneficial bacteria. The full face water flow provides the oxygen and dissolved ammonia/nitrite to the bacterial colonies throughout the entire volume of the filter basket. Finally the water must flow through the entire length of the UltraGrade Carbon insert, allowing it to adsorb liquefied impurities, dyes and even medications within its internal matrix.
