Daily grooming with a wide-toothed comb removes debris from
the coats of long-haired cats and helps detect mats and tangles.
If mats or tangles are found, they can usually be removed with
a dematting tool. In severe cases a veterinarian should be
consulted. Regular sessions with a slicker brush also help keep
long-haired coats looking good. A grooming comb can be used
to add a finishing touch. |
