A quality cat food must be served at this stage. An adult cat weighs about 3.5 to 4.5kg (5.5kg for giant breeds). It is not necessary to supplement a NUTRIENCE diet. There is no need to restrict consumption unless there is an excessive weight gain.

Medium work includes stressful situations such as competition, combining physical and psychological stress. It also includes cold temperatures found in winter conditions. These conditions increase the energy demand.

The female must be at optimal weight and mature (at least 10 – 12 months). It is recommended to wait for the second estrus before breeding. Prior to breeding, serve a high quality adult cat food formula.

Gestation lasts an average of 63 – 65 days (9 weeks) but can vary from 58 – 70 days. Serve a maintenance food without supplement.


1 to 7 years drying-up
In general the queen begins to wean her kittens when they are 6 – 7 weeks old. Restrict the food intake of the queen during the day preceding the weaning of the kittens. Gradually increase intake during the days following the weaning.
