The Chihuahua can have either a short or long
coat. Since the short coats are smooth, they
require relatively little grooming; gentle weekly
brushings with a rubber or bristle brush will
keep the coat looking good. Chihuahuas with
long coats should be groomed daily with a
soft bristle brush, and weekly with a steel pin
brush. If a long-haired coat develops mats, a
dematting rake is recommended. |
