Feeding Your Pet

Pet care should be a shared family responsibility.

Examine a pet closely before buying.

Cages should be spacious, secure, and cleaned frequently.

Change food and water every day.

Keep cages away from direct sunlight, heat, drafts, moisture, and predators.

Handle your small pet with care – never grab it by the tail or ears.
Always watch your pet when it's with children or other pets.

Male and Female pairing should be avoided to prevent rapid population growth unless neutering is an option e.g. in rabbits. Once neutered, male and female rabbits will happily live together and make great companions.

Any change in normal behavior could be a sign of illness. Consult your pet shop or vet if you see any problems.

Don't neglect your new pet after the initial excitement wears off. Your pet needs attention and exercise daily.
