The Golden Retriever has a smooth medium
length double coat that is easy to groom. Its
firm and resilient outer coat can be flat or
wavy with good feathering, and its dense
inner coat is water resistant. Regular grooming
with a slicker brush and bristle brush
keeps both the outer and inner coat in good
shape. Grooming with a rake will prevent
matting on the inner coat.
