What does a U.V. Steriliser Do?

By forcing a thin sheet of water into close contact with a germicidal lamp, many species of algae and parasites are given a fatal sunburn and are inactivated. This elimination of pathogens and algae is safe for fish, since the action only occurs within the confines of the lamp. No light is allowed to leak from the sealed enclosure into the pond, so there is no risk to fish, plants or other organisms within the pond area.

The PowerFLO UV Steriliser quickly adapts to any pump with the exclusive "click-fit" connectors, making installation and maintenance very simple. All that is required is a clean supply of water be passed into the unit and then allowed to flow back to the pond by gravity. In most cases the exhaust is used as part of a water fall feature, since the UV Steriliser itself cannot be submersed.
